Project Description

Bird of Paradise

Amanda, full figured and proud of it, had fallen in love with a Dior gown many years earlier and vowed that she would marry in it. Our Arcaro Couture version was made in dove shades with a crisp satin cocktail-length dress and custom made daisies splashed down one side. The extravagant two-tone tulle overskirt was belted and fully removable for adaptability of style. All accessories were designed to match, including a birdcage veil and shoulder shrug for the Canadian cool.

Unique, innovative and gorgeous.

Angelina talked through the intricacies of the dress, the fabrics and some modifications I wanted to make. Fittings were always fun and Angelina was happy to incorporate items like the flowers on the front of my dress, that were made using parts of my mum’s wedding dress.
On the day, I received so many comments from other guests in the hotel on my way to the ceremony and then later on when we braved the snow.
